Best Actor-Drama Odds
BEVERLY HILLS, CA (TheSpread) – The Best Actor-Drama category at the 2013 Golden Globes is a one-man show. Here is a look at the odds to win this category.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the clear favorite in this category is Daniel-Day Lewis, who has odds of -2000 to win for his role in Lincoln. The only other actor with reasonable odds is Denzel Washington, who has odds of +800 for the movie Flight.
Lewis played Abraham Lincoln in this biopic about Lincoln’s life. The film has the most Golden Globe nominations of any film and Lewis has already been nominated for an Oscar for best actor for his role. He won this award in 2008 for his performance in There Will Be Blood. It is his only Golden Globe award.
Washington plays Captain Whip Whitaker in Flight, a movie about Whitaker making a miraculous plane landing when facing a potential life-ending crash. Washington has won two golden globes in his career, including best actor in a drama for The Hurricane in 1999.
The 2013 Golden Globes will be held Sunday, January 13 from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, and air live on NBC at 8PM ET.
