MILWAUKEE (AP) -Marquette guard Dominic James withdrew his name Sunday from the NBA draft and will return for his junior year. ``I discussed it over with my family, and it's the best thing for me,'' James told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The first-team all-Big East guard had until Monday afternoon to make his decision. He had been projected as a late second-round pick while some speculated he wouldn't have been drafted at all. ``I feel like another year of college, or maybe even two, will set me up for the future,'' said James, who averaged a team-high 14.9 points and 4.9 assists last season. With James back, Marquette will return its top eight players from last year's 24-10 NCAA tournament team. |
