Don’t let the slick talk fool you, Jeff Gordon is nervous. After losing the points lead last week, Jimmie Johnson has his teammate and car owner rattled. Gordon starts ahead of Johnson and 30 points is a reasonable deficit to make up but reality for the former champ may be setting in. |

Dickies 500 Preview

Don't mess with Texas.
Ask Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, the top 2 drivers in The Chase for The Nextel Cup how they like Texas Motor Speedway and they will tell you not so much. Gordon and Johnson will most likely be holding their breath much of the afternoon Sunday for the Dickies 500 as they try to get around what isn’t the most successful track for either of them. |

Pep Boys 500 Preview

As usual there are multiple storylines within the Nextel Cup Series as the drivers prepare to race at NASCAR's fastest track. The Pep Boys 500 at Atlanta is the seventh race of the Chase for The Nextel Cup and most likely the first race where some Chaser's will be mathematically eliminated from the 2007 title at the conclusion of the race today. |

2007 Subway 500 Preview

With Jeff Gordon securely on the pole for the 2007 Subway 500 at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia, you have to wonder if the other competitors in the Chase for the Nextel Cup have given up hope. Gordon has won the last two races in a row at Charlotte and Talladega and Martinsville is historically one of his best tracks. |

This week all eyes are on Jimmie Johnson as he hits the track at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Johnson has dominated at Charlotte in recent years and all indications are he is the favorite again this weekend. |
