Mayweather wins again
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Floyd Mayweather Jr. managed to stay unbeaten on Saturday night as he picked up a win over Robert Guerrero by decision.
Mayweather improved to 44-0 in his career and now holds WBC Welterweight Title and The Ring Welterweight Championship after handing Guerrero (31-2-1) his first loss since 2005.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Mayweather Jr. had odds of -750 to win this fight, which means that a wager of $750 on Mayweather Jr. to win will pay out an additional $100.
The fight went down as many expected, with Mayweather Jr. proving to be too quick for Guerrero. Despite not fighting for a year, Mayweather didn’t show any rest, consistently landing his right hand and avoiding the big shots from Guerrero. The challenger showed some signs of life early in the bout, as he attempted to keep Mayweather cornered, but that strategy wasn’t able to hold up long due to Mayweather’s speed.
After the 12 rounds were complete, Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Robert Guerrero on all of the scorecards, earning decisions of 117-111 from all three judges.
