(The Spread) - All indications are the Dodgers will be just as aggressive in 2013 as they were at the 2012 MLB trade deadline.

The Dodgers have acquired right-hander Ricky Nolasco from the Marlins in exchange for right-handers Josh Wall, Steven Ames and Angel Sanchez. Los Angeles will cover the entire $5.7 million remaining on Nolasco's contract and it'll receive $197,000 in international cap space in return from Miami.

The veteran starter will try to help a Dodgers club that has turned their season around thanks in large part to the emergence of outfielder Yusiel Puig. Nolsaco, 30, has a solid 3.85 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 90/25 K/BB radio in 112 1/3 innings this season for the Marlins. He's set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

The National League West is completely up for grabs, although the Diamondbacks are currently in first place with a 46-41 record. Both the Rockies and Dodgers are 4.5 games back while the defending World Series champion Giants are just 40-46 having lost eight of their last 10 games. The only team that has been worst over that stretch in all of baseball is the last-place Padres, who are 40-48 and have lost eight straight games.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dodgers are currently 22/1 to win the World Series and 9/1 to win the NL pennant this season. The Diamondbacks, meanwhile, are 22/1 to win the World Series and 10/1 to win the pennant, while the Rockies are 40/1 to win the Fall Classic and 18/1 to win the pennant. The Giants' odds have been free-falling over the last few weeks, as they're now 22/1 to win the World Series and 10/1 to win the pennant. The Padres are 40/1 and 18/1, respectively, to win the Fall Classic and the NL pennant.
